On Saturday December 1st Derek Michaud went to Portland to try to get his 6th YABA title and comes up short. Everything starts out very good with michaud shooting a 177 in game one of a 3 game opening round, in games 2 and 3 everything went down hill. Game 2 Michaud shoots a 113 and game 3 a 120 not what he would of wanted to shoot but with the lanes being so oily in front and dry back ends Michaud though his straight ball would work but that was not the case Wilton is next and Derek Michaud will try for his first win on a wood surface in the first wood tournament of the year at Medow Lanes

There are only 6 tournaments left 4 travel tournaments and 2 majors are coming up maybe 7 if Michaud wins the Coke Tournament He will get to go to Vegas and bowl in the Nationals but Michaud is taking it 1 tournament at a time!
